In Ever Loving Memory of Georgie

At approximately 3pm 7 yrs ago today I lost my Beloved Georgie - my majestic gorgeous boy- and am taking this moment to honor his memory he was very beautiful and VERY Special to me.. Just a tiny orphan when I got you - I fell in love immediately and you love to kiss mommy- and I loved your sweet kisses too.

You loved life and had a taste for Chocolate
Every year we had a cake for you and you shared with your best buds. We only had a few short years together- God took you just before your 7th birthday. And loved your nite nite Bahs! So I let you have your bahs until YOU wanted to be weaned- BTW you were 4 (YEARS) old :) I sure loved you! YOU loved to help mommy when she did anything in the yard- like fixing fencing- Oh what a help you were :) You took my heart and ran away with it.
(And people say billy goats are Mean- NOT MY Georgie!)
I miss you Georgie, Your graceful horns, your beautiful face, your gentle eyes and the smell of your fiber and feel of it against my face- Your slow majestic way you would walk with me on our long walks together- not a mean bone in your body and you were so young when you left me- I miss you every day YOU were my AngelGoat. Mommy misses you and someday we will be together again.

Kids born at Larkspur Funny Farm

Larkspur Funny Farm writes in her blog:

Thursday - What a DAY - Maggi had a tricky delivery At lunchtime I thought I would go out and check on everyone. Well, Maggi gave me that look - the scared s**tless look that happens when the Mother is not sure if her body is going to explode. I got her in the pen I made for her and then spent the next three hours trying to keep her in the pen. As her contractions grew closer, her wild eyes grew bigger. I grab my chair and started to give her slow breathing patterns. Then I tried to maintain eye contact with her to have her track my breathing. Just then, her mother (Esmerelda) in the farest pen started crying out to her daughter. Then in the pen next to her mother was her grandmother (Eboney)and she joined in. Soon the barn was filled with the ear piercing sounds of concerned relatives. My Great Pry dog had enough of the noise and left the barn.

Goats graze at Sunnyvale landfill to prevent fires

Goats graze at Sunnyvale landfill to prevent fires
Hundreds of goats are grazing on a closed Sunnyvale landfill as part of an annual tradition to prevent summer grassfires at a location that has seen its fair share of fires in the past.

I knew all I had to do was to leave the city and the goats would come- ;)
All my life I lived in the Bay Area- No goats in my life- Moved to Az in 1990 and began raising goats shortly thereafter- 16 yrs later- Goats in Sunnyvale, which is just where I moved from. Go figure!

Goat-Link-In Loving Memory

Losing an old friend of 20 years is heartbreaking- especially when he was a beautiful angora goat.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge

Ma is now with my Beloved Georgie and others I have watched climb the stairs to Heaven:

If Tears Could Build A Stairway
And Memories A Lane
I’d Walk Right Up To Heaven
And Bring You Home Again

It's been a very long day- tomorrows will never be the same-
